Synopsis

Singapore's tourism scene has been revitalized with the introduction of four major attractions in 2025. These include the revamped Singapore Oceanarium at Resorts World Sentosa, the new Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore, Rainforest Wild Asia in Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and the expanded HydroDash floating water park at Sentosa. These additions aim to provide visitors with immersive and engaging experiences.

Travellers heading to Singapore have four new reasons to revisit the city-state. A revamped oceanarium, a movie-themed park zone, a rainforest wildlife trek, and a giant floating obstacle course now headline Singapore’s tourism revival. Each attraction opened in 2025 and reflects the city’s push to upgrade visitor experiences with larger-than-life themes and immersive environments.

Singapore Oceanarium

Located at Resorts World Sentosa, the Singapore Oceanarium reopened after a major revamp in April 2025. The new space features 22 exhibition zones, including Coral Gardens and Ocean Wonders. Visitors can explore marine ecosystems through digital projections, life-sized animatronics, and interactive exhibits, as reported by Conde Nast Traveller. The ocean tunnel has also been expanded to include species like Scalloped Hammerhead and Sandbar Sharks. The exhibit ends with an installation that visually highlights the impact of climate change on marine life.

Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore

In February 2025, Universal Studios Singapore launched Minion Land, replacing its previous Madagascar zone. The new area is divided into three sections: Gru’s Neighbourhood, Super Silly Fun Land, and Minion Marketplace. Attractions include Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and USS-exclusive rides like Buggie Boogie. Visitors can try Minion-themed food such as chilli crab mantou and yellow rice curry shaped like Minions.

Rainforest Wild Asia at Mandai

Rainforest Wild Asia opened in March 2025 inside the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Spread over 13 hectares, this wildlife park removes barriers between visitors and animals. Guests can walk along elevated trails, forest paths, or attempt rock climbs and cave abseiling. Native animals like Malayan tigers, sun bears, and mouse deer roam in open habitats. Over 7,000 trees have been planted to maintain the natural feel.

HydroDash at Sentosa

As per Conde Nast Traveller report, Singapore’s only floating water park, HydroDash, reopened after a year-long closure due to an oil spill. Now bigger and with 12 new features, the inflatable obstacle course covers 60 by 61 metres. Highlights include “The Mountain,” a four-metre climb, agility challenges like Zig Zag, and Dip Bars for balance games. The park is open to anyone above age five.
