SSC MTS and Havaldar 2025: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the new vacancy number for Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Exam 2025. This change has been made about the notification issued by the Commission on 26 June 2025.

Revised number of Havaldar posts
According to the update released by SSC, the total estimated number of MTS posts has now been increased to 4375. At the same time, the number of vacancies of Havaldar has been increased from 1075 to 1089. This amendment has been made under the Commission's notification number F.NO. E/15/2025-C-2 SECTION-Part(1).

No change in other conditions
The Commission has also clarified that all other terms and conditions given in the original notification dated 26 June 2025 will remain unchanged. This amendment has been made only in the number of vacancies. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of the Commission and read the revised notice carefully.

The application correction window for this recruitment will be active from 29 to 31 July (11.00 pm). The computer-based test is scheduled between 20 September and 24 October 2025. The exam city information will be released 10 days before the exam day.

SSC MTS Selection Process: How will the selection be done

Under SSC MTS and Havildar Recruitment 2025, candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST), and Document Verification. Only CBE is required for the MTS post, while for the Havildar post, CBE along with PET and PST will also be mandatory. After being successful in the selection process, the candidates will be called for document verification. The finally selected candidates will get Level-1 salary as per the pay matrix of the 7th Pay Commission.

SSC MTS Examination Scheme: Exam Pattern
The SSC MTS and Havildar exams will be computer-based and will be conducted in two sessions. The time allotted for each session is 45 minutes, and a total of 90 questions will be asked. The exam will be conducted in 13 regional languages, including Hindi and English. For the post of Havildar, there will also be a physical test after the CBE, in which the candidates will be checked on parameters like running, height, weight, etc.
