Led by Shubman Gill and head coach Gautam Gambhir India is going to give Arshdeep Singh a chance to make his Test debut. Indias aim is to level the series in this match starting on 31 July. Arshdeep got a chance to make his Test debut Arshdeep Singh got a place in the Test team for the first time for the England tour. But he did not get a chance in the first three Tests as Jasprit Bumrah Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna were preferred as specialist fast bowlers. Akash Deep was included in the playing XI in the second and third Tests. Arshdeep was out of the fourth Test due to injury During the preparation for the fourth Test Arshdeep got injured while bowling in the nets. He was ruled out of the match due to a cut on his bowling hand. Meanwhile Akash Deep also got injured and in his place Anshul Kamboj was made to debut in the Manchester Test who was not part of the original team. Arshdeep can become the 319th Indian Test player According to the Times of India report Arshdeep Singh is going to become Indias 319th Test player in the Oval Test. According to the report he will replace Jasprit Bumrah while Akash Deep will also return to the playing XI and form a three-member fast bowling attack with Mohammed Siraj. However the final decision regarding Bumrah will be taken just before the match. Arshdeep also has experience in International and England Even though Arshdeep has not played Test cricket yet he is a well-known name internationally. He is the highest wicket-taker in T20 Internationals for India. He has taken 99 wickets in 63 T20Is. Apart from this he has taken 14 wickets in 9 ODIs. In first-class cricket he has taken 66 wickets in 21 matches. In 2023 Arshdeep played red-ball cricket in England for county club Kent in which he took 13 wickets in five matches.
