Son Of Sardaar 2 Review: In 2012, Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sanjay Dutt starrer Son Of Sardaar was released. Despite clashing with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan, the film became a hit at the box office. Now, after 13 years, Ajay Devgn is back with a spiritual sequel to the film titled Son Of Sardaar 2. The 2012 release was a hilarious movie. So, is the second part as good as the first instalment? Read on to know that…
The movie revolves around Jassi (Ajay Devgn), who is from Punjab, and he gets married to Dimple (Neeru Bajwa). For work, Dimple moves to the UK, and after many years, Jassi finally gets a visa. But when he reaches there, Dimple reveals to Jassi that she wants a divorce as she is in love with someone else. Amid this , Jassi meets Rabia (Mrunal Thakur) and her family, who are from Pakistan. Rabia has a stepdaughter who wants to get married to an Indian guy. But the guy's family (Sandhu Khaandaan) wants their son to get married to an Indian girl who comes from a good family background. So, Jassi, Rabia, and others act like an Indian family, and then the movie becomes an enjoyable roller coaster ride…
Son Of Sardaar 2 is written by Jagdeep Singh Sindhu and Mohit Jain, and the movie is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. The film starts on a very clumsy note. The screenplay is all scattered, and you will feel, 'What the hell is happening?' But, after around 20-25 minutes, SOS 2 picks up amazingly. After a dull start, the movie turns into a laugh riot, and till the interval, you will be laughing out loud.
In the second half, the film once again dips a bit, only to pick up after a few minutes. The pre-climax and climax portions are simply hilarious. The last 20-25 minutes will make you go ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing).
The makers have very well got the references of some old movies in Son Of Sardaar 2, which just takes the comedy scenes a notch higher. But yes, we would like to tell you that this is a no-brainer comedy film. So, don't look for any logic in it. Also, in some scenes, the VFX is quite tacky.
Son Of Sardaar 2 Review - Actors' Performance
When it comes to performances, this film belongs to Ravi Kishan and Deepak Dobriyal. They have been given some of the best scenes in the movie, and their comic timing is just perfect! Also, it was quite surprising to see that a star like Ajay Devgn gave the whole climax to Ravi Kishan. This is very impressive because we rarely get to see such a thing in a movie featuring a star!
Ajay Devgn as Jassi has done a wonderful job, especially in the scenes where he has to perform over-the-top comedy. Mrunal Thakur is looking gorgeous in the film, and she has been given many scenes in which she shines and proves that she can do comedy effortlessly.
Other supporting actors like Kubbra Sait, Vindu Dara Singh, Mukul Dev, Sharat Saxena, Roshni Walia, Sahil Mehta, and Chunky Pandey are very good in their respective roles. But Ashwini Kalsekar and Sanjay Mishra are wasted.
Son Of Sardaar 2 Review – Music
The music of Son Of Sardaar 2 is quite good. The title track and The Po Po Song will surely catch your attention. And of course, how can we forget the song, Pehla Tu Duja Tu, whose hook step has gone viral; even that leaves a mark.

Overall, Son Of Sardaar 2 is a hilarious film that will surely tickle your funny bone. So, go to theatres and just enjoy this laugh riot with your family!
