Honey Chilli Potato Recipe: Honey Chile Potato is a popular Indo-Chinese snack, which everyone likes from children to elders. Therefore, many people eaten Chile Potato from outside. But if you avoid eating things outside, then Chile Potato can be eaten at home also at home. Let’s know how to make Honey Chile Potato at home in easy ways?

Required material

Potatoes (medium sized)-3-4
Cornfallor – 4 tablespoons
Flour – 2 tablespoons
Salt – as per taste
Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Water – as per requirement
Oil – to fry
Honey – 2 tablespoons
Tomato ketchup – 2 tablespoons
Red Chili Sauce – 1 tbsp
Soya Sauce – 1 Tbsp
Vinegar – 1 teaspoon
Garlic (chopped) – 1 tbsp
Green chili (chopped) – 2
Sesame – 1 tbsp (for garnish)
Capsicum (chopped) – 1 (optional)
Oil – 1 tbsp
Water – 2 tablespoons

Wash the potatoes and cut it into thin and long strips. Soak them in cold water for 10 minutes. This will remove additional starch from potatoes. After this, add cornflor, maida, salt, and red chili powder to a vessel. Prepare a thick paste with the help of water. Now immerse the potato pieces in this batter so that they coat well. Heat the oil in the pan and deep fry these potatoes until golden brown and crispy. Take out the fryed potatoes on the kitchen towel so that the excess oil is removed.

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic and green chili to it and fry it lightly. Next, add tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, soy sauce and vinegar. Mix well. Now add 2 tablespoons of water and cook on low flame. When the sauce is thick, add honey and mix well.

Add fryed potatoes to the prepared sauce and mix slowly so that the sauce coats well on the potatoes. Add sesame and capsicum on top. Now take out the hot honey chili potato in a plate. Sprinkle a little more sesame on top and serve immediately.

Fry them twice to make the potatoes crisp.
You can use green onion and capsicum to make it even more colorful.
The sauce can be made sour or sweet as needed.
