कार्य Saffron, often called ‘red gold’, is appreciated for its deep aroma, golden color and healthy properties. Although it has the title of most expensive spices in the world, it is not only possible to grow saffron at home, but also very beneficial. Case, a delicate purple flower, is obtained from the stigma of the crocus sativus. With patience and care, you can also grow this fragrant treasure in your backyard or sunny balcony, which will bring both beauty and taste to your home.

Here is the way to grow saffron in your house:

1. Choose a good quality tuber: Start with a healthy, large crocus sativus tuber from a reputable supplier. Large, disease-free tubers usually give more strong flowers.

2. Adarsh Planting Time: In India, there is an ideal time for planting from late summer early autumn (August to September). Expect flowers by October or November.

3. Containers and soil: Use shallow containers or grow bags (at least 6 inches deep) with good drainage. To avoid wet conditions, fill with a mixture of garden soil, sand and compost.

4. Planting method: Apply the tubers at a distance of a few inches, keeping the tubers about 2-3 inches deep, pointed. Give light water after planting.

5. Light and water: Apply on the sunshine place where there is 5-6 hours of sunlight daily. Do not add too much water – enough to keep the soil slightly moist.

6. Breaking saffron threads: When the flowers bloom, break three red article from each flower in the morning. Dry them in cold, dark place for several days before storage.

Methods of daily use of saffron in cooking:

1. Mix in rice and grains: Add some saffron fibers to hot water or milk, then mix in rice, casserole or khichdi. This enhances the fragrance, taste and color.

2. Mix in hot drinks: Saffron looks great with hot milk, herbal tea or almond latte. In the evening, add honey or jaggery to a relaxed, nutrient -rich drinks.

3. Make sweets and deserts even more delicious: Use saffron in Indian dishes like kheer and halwa, or mix to baked things like cake and cookies. One spoon saffron curd or Shrikhand also gives a delicious taste.

Growing saffron at home connects you to a centuries -old tradition and gives you a chance to taste the freshly taste of this spice – it is in a hot bowl of rice or in a comfortable dessert adorned with saffron.
