Celebrating Musical Excellence in Madhya Pradesh
In a significant announcement, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to honor the renowned music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy with the prestigious National Lata Mangeshkar Award for the year 2024. Additionally, celebrated singer Sonu Nigam will be the recipient of the 2025 award, as confirmed by an official statement on Saturday.
Furthermore, the state's culture department revealed that lyricist Prasoon Joshi and acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali will be awarded the National Kishore Kumar Award for the years 2024 and 2025, respectively.
The award ceremony for the Lata Mangeshkar Award is scheduled to take place in Indore, the birthplace of the legendary singer, on September 28. Meanwhile, the Kishore Kumar Award will be presented in Khandwa, the birthplace of Kishore Kumar, on October 13, according to the department's announcement.
