In a captivating episode of Channel 5's Cruising with Jane McDonald, audiences witnessed the beloved star confront one of her personal fears.

During the episode, which first aired back in 2021, viewers saw Jane venture to Grand Cayman to indulge in a rather unique pastime.

Yet, as she travelled to the island on a tender because the cruise ship couldn't berth at the port, it was evident that Jane was under the weather.

Through a voiceover, the Channel 5 celebrity, who has recently put her house on the market, informed viewers: "I had a rotten cold last week, but I'm on the mend now, thanks for asking!

"So a day on the beach should blow the cobwebs away."

As they neared the picturesque island, Jane admired its beauty before embarking on her adventure, where she resolved to confront one of her fears.

Opting for a horse riding lesson on the beach, she admitted: "I've never done it before!

"I'm at an age now where I'm nearly 40, where I should just be trying other things. So I'm going to do it before it's too late."

Joining fellow passengers from the vessel, Jane listened intently as the instructor assured them that horse riding on the beach was a breeze.

However, when he mentioned activities in the water with the horses, Jane was taken aback, not realising this was part of the experience, reports The Mirror.

During the aquatic excursion with the horses, Jane couldn't help but praise the cruise to another group member.

She remarked: "That's what I love about cruising, you do things like this that you would never do anywhere else."

Ultimately, Jane appeared to relish the adventure as she was spotted grinning and chuckling whilst mounted on her horse, named Lady.

When the activity drew to a close, the Channel 5 presenter was delighted as she exclaimed: "That was amazing! Oh my god, it was just unbelievable.

"It was just incredible, so I've fought my fears again.

"I've gone swimming with horses bareback today, something that I would never have done if I hadn't been on this cruise. What a day, what an experience, what a life!".

Elsewhere in the programme, audiences witnessed Jane venture into the depths aboard a submarine and revel in the festivities at a local carnival.

Cruising with Jane McDonald is available to watch on MY5.
