
New Delhi. Several MPs who are marching from Parliament to the Election Commission office have been detained by the police. It includes Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and other leaders. These leaders are being taken into buses by Delhi Police. He is being released out of Central Delhi. Rahul Gandhi’s big statement has come after being detained. He said, this fight is not political-it is a fight to protect democracy, constitution and the right to ‘one person, one vote’.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media X, “Today when we were going to meet the Election Commission, all the MPs of India alliance were stopped and taken into custody. The truth of vote theft is now in front of the country. This fight is not political-it is a fight to protect democracy, constitution and ‘one person, one vote’. The united opposition and every voter of the country demand: Clean voter list. And, we will take this right in every situation.
At the same time, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that, if the government does not allow us to reach the Election Commission, then we do not understand what he is afraid of? This March was all MPs, we were carrying out marches peacefully. We wanted the Election Commission to call all MPs, we would meet and have their own side, but the Election Commission is saying that only 30 members should come. How is this possible?
