
Discussion on ‘Vision Document 2047’ started today in the current session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The purpose of this ambitious document is to decide the state’s long -term development goals and provide policy direction for the next 25 years.
In the absence of Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak during the discussion in the assembly, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that the state has laid a strong foundation of development in the last eight years. Khanna claimed that the current government has made significant improvements in the field of infrastructure, law and order, education, health and investment, which is on the way to join Uttar Pradesh’s leading economies.
Khanna said, “Vision 2047 is not only a paper scheme, but a blueprint for fulfilling public aspirations. We want to make Uttar Pradesh self -reliant and globally competitive in every field in the next 25 years.”
Some opposition leaders, however, questioned the document’s viability and financial provisions. He alleged that the government’s claims do not match the ground reality and this plan can also remain incomplete like previous manifestos.
During the discussion, issues like electricity, agriculture, industry, urban development and environmental protection were also emphasized in the assembly. It is expected that after a detailed debate on this, the government will take a step towards formally adopting the ‘Vision Document 2047’.
