Lokesh Kanagaraja’s “Coolie”, which was released on August 14, 2025 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada, has received strong reactions at the box office. Staring at Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna and Aamir Khan, the film is a story between a mysterious hero and a corrupt port-city syndicate. The film shows tremendous action, but fans have mixed reactions.
Rajinikanth’s old charisma and public attachment are covered, and fans on X admire his electrical appearance and the battle scenes adorned with the music of Anirudh Ravichandar. Beginning as a villain, Nagarjuna, mesmerized with a stylish anti-hero role and earns praise for stealing the scenes despite a limited screen time. As Aamir Khan’s Tamil Debut film “Daha”, it symbolizes a renovation with Rajinikanth after the 1995 film “Terror Hi Terror”, including Star Power with Shruti Haasan, Satyaraj and Saubin Shahir.
However, X posts reveal a divided audience. The first part was described as a slow speed and anticipated comedy, disappointing some people, although the interval block influenced. The second part faced criticism for a disorganized screenplay, forced drama and a worn climax, with a rating from 2/5 to 3/5. Fans appreciated the songs “Vibe” and “Monica”, but they felt that the story lacks depth, which does not suit the publicity.
As the inauguration of UP T20 League 2025 is approaching, “Coolie” remains a polarization spectacle, shining in an uneven cinematic ride Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna.
