The late education and registration minister of Jharkhand Ramdas Soren was given a final farewell with state honors in the Jharkhand Assembly on Saturday (16 August). His body brought from Delhi to Ranchi in the morning was kept in the assembly premises, where Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Assembly Speaker Rabindranath Mahato, Leader of Opposition, Babulal Marandi, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Radha Krishna Kishore, several ministers, MLAs and MPs paid homage to him.

Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar said, “The untimely demise of Ramdas Soren is an irreparable loss to the state. I express deep condolences to the mournful families. God should give him the power to bear this pain.” He also shared a tribute message on his X handle.

55 -year -old Soren was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi after a brain stroke 12 days ago, where he died late Friday. He was the Minister of School Education and Literacy and Registration in the Government of Jharkhand. His last rites will be performed at the ancestral residence in East Singhbhum on Saturday afternoon.

The death of Ramdas Soren expressed deep condolences in the political and social world. Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji described him as a dedicated soldier of the Jharkhand movement and said that he had dedicated his life to the poor and backward and his departure has brought great vacancy in JMM and state politics. Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi described it as irreparable loss to the politics and society of the state.

Former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das described his death as extremely tragic and said that Baba Vaidyanath should give peace to his soul. Panchayati Raj Minister Deepika Pandey Singh described her contribution and public service as unforgettable and said that the state will always remember her. Former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai said that Ramdas Soren was known for his simplicity and honesty and it is very sad that the state, which is suffering the sorrow of Shibu Soren’s death, is facing a shortage of another public. At the same time, BJP state executive president Ravindra Rai and minister Deepak Birua also called his death a deep damage to the entire state.

Due to the death of Ramdas Soren, deep vacancy is being felt in the politics of Jharkhand and social life. His simplicity, honesty and public service will be remembered for a long time.
