Japan air taxi: The exciting experience of cars and taxis flying in films and video games is now going to be a reality. Japan is soon going to show a glimpse of the future to the world, where electric air taxi service will start. This will not only make the journey easier but will also save a lot of time.

Ana and Joby Aviation’s big partnership

Japan’s leading airline company Ana (All Nippon Airways) has announced to introduce air taxi service from 2027 in collaboration with the American company Joby Aviation. Under this project, more than 100 5-seater electric aircraft will be blown.

Koji Shibata, President and CEO of Ana says,

“This taxi will completely change air travel experience.” A pilot and four passengers will be able to sit in these aircraft. These air taxis will be able to fly at a maximum speed of 320 km/h.

There will be 1 hour journey in 15 minutes

Currently, the journey from Tokyo to Narita Airport is completed in about 1 hour or more by a car or train. But the electric aircraft of Joby Aviation will cover the same distance in just 15 minutes. This will save passengers relief from traffic jam and save time.

Price and service plan

The company has not yet disclosed the ticket price. However, Ana says that this service will be made available at affordable rates so that common people can also use it. These aircraft will be performed publicly during the Osaka Expo in October 2025.

Safe and technically advanced to the environment

Joby Aviation founder and CEO Joben Bevirt says, “Japan is the most suitable place for new technology like flying taxi due to its old traditions and combination of modern technology.”

This taxi service will be completely electric. It will be operated without smoke and the voice will also be less than the traditional helicopter. According to the Joby Aviation, these aircraft will do take-off and landing like a helicopter, but will fly like an airplane after flying.

Note

This move of Japan will give a new dimension to future air travel. This project is not only a time saving but will also prove to be very safe and durable in terms of environment.
