Karnataka Government Minister Priyank Kharge (Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge) has claimed that Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was given from Vinayak Damodar Savarkarkar’s concept of two-nation theory. In a post shared on X, the Information Technology and Biotechnology Minister said that ‘Idea of two-nation was first placed by Veer Savarkar and was supported by his pieces.

Priyank Kharge (Priyank Kharge), citing Savarkar’s articles and speeches, said in a social media post, ‘In the Essentials of Hindutva (written in 1922), Savarkar defines Hindutva not from religion, but from the motherland, both as’ ancestral and sacred land’. Kharge said that during the 19th Session of Hindu Mahasabha of the Hindu Mahasabha in Ahmedabad in 1937, Savarkar said, two opposing nations are living together in India. Today’s India cannot be considered a unique and common nation. Rather, there are mainly two countries in India: including Hindus and Muslims.
Kharge said that in 1943, Savarkar cited the remarks made in Nagpur: ‘I have no objection to Jinnah’s two-nation theory. We are Hindus, a nation in itself, and it is a historical fact that Hindus and Muslims are two nations. ‘
