New Delhi. A press conference on behalf of the Central Election Commission on Sunday has responded to the questions raised on the process of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar on Sunday in a press conference and the allegations of ‘Vote Chori’. The Commission said that there is no party, nor opposition for us, but all are equivalent. In this press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has dismissed the allegations outright.

Chief Election Commissioner said that the doors of the Commission are always open for any complaint. He said that the use of words like vote theft is completely wrong, in such cases a petition should have been filed in the court. He said that the photos, names and identities of the voters were publicly shown, which is completely wrong.

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar at the National Media Center said that according to the Constitution of India, every citizen of India, who attains 18 years of age according to the Constitution of India, should become voters and also vote. You all know that according to the law, every political party is born through registration in the Election Commission. Then how can the Election Commission discriminate between equal political parties? There is neither opposition nor any side for Election Commission. All are equal. Regardless of any political party, the Election Commission will not back down from its constitutional duty.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that for the last two decades, almost all political parties have been demanding to improve the errors in the voter list. For this, the Election Commission has launched a special intensive revision (SIR) from Bihar. In the process of SIR, 1.6 lakh BLA, nominated by all voters, booth level officers and all political parties, has prepared a draft list.

The Election Commission is not afraid of such false allegations. The Election Commission stands like a rock without any differences. The Chief Election Commissioner said, “If an unsuccessful attempt is made to mislead the public using wrong words like vote theft, then it is an insult to the Constitution of India.” On not sharing the machine redeeble voter list, the Supreme Court has said that it is a violation of the privacy of the voter. But even then it was done by some parties.
