The Himalayan 750 is a muchanticipated motorcycle, and test mules were spotted several times, including in the hands of top officials. The motorcycle seemed to have everything a person would look for in an adventure motorcycle. Now, a new variant has been spotted testing, hinting that there will be a roadfocused version as well.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: Touring variant

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 that was spotted recently has revealed more details about the motorcycle. For starters, it features the familiar circular TFT instrument cluster seen on the Himalayan 450. However, the most interesting detail is the wheels, as the recently spotted Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 was seen with cast alloy wheels.

Compared to the test mules seen in the past, this is the first time the Himalayan 750 has been seen with cast alloy wheels, hinting that Royal Enfield will be offering variants of the adventure motorcycle, and this one is a more roadfocused version.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: New platform

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be based on a new chassis and a subframe. It will be suspended by USD forks at the front and a monoschock at the rear. The motorcycle will be a completely new design, unlike the 450 currently on sale. The motorcycle will feature a tall, highmounted fairing and a round headlight.

The motorcycle seen so far was spotted with wirespoke wheels, and the cast alloy wheels seen on this prototype could be a 17inch setup. Other details include the split seat design, an upswept exhaust, LED lighting, and more. The motorcycle will also get disc brakes at both ends with dualchannel ABS. Rider aids could include ride modes and traction control.

The highlight of the motorcycle is the new engine — a 750cc twin. This could be based on the same 650cc twin currently on sale with a larger bore. There is no news on power details, but expect the motorcycle to make well over 50bhp and a ton of torque at low revs.

The Prototypes look close to production form, and Royal Enfield could showcase the motorcycle at EICMA this year, alongside other models, including the Flying Flea and possibly the electric version of the Himalayan as well.
