UiPath Launches Generative Extractions to Automate Complex Document Processing

UiPath Inc. (NYSE: PATH), recognised as one of the leading midcap AI stocks, has announced the launch of its new Generative Extractions capability for the Intelligent Document Processing (IXP) platform. This announcement was made on August 1, 2025. The new feature enables users to automate the processing of unstructured and complex documents using generative AI technology.

With Generative Extractions, users can now process documents containing multi-table layouts, freeform text, embedded graphics, and other non-standard formats. Traditional document automation tools often struggle with these formats, but UiPath’s latest release addresses these challenges directly. The feature is now available in the United States and Europe, with public previews extended to customers in Canada, Australia, and Japan.

This expansion is a significant step forward in UiPath’s strategy to integrate large language model capabilities into its platform. By introducing generative document understanding to production environments, the company is not just enabling routine automation, but also supporting high-complexity, high-volume enterprise workflows. Many global organisations continue to face difficulties in extracting structured data from PDFs, scans, and multi-modal documents. UiPath’s new feature aims to fill this important gap in the automation space.

UiPath, based in New York, is known for its enterprise automation software and robotic process automation (RPA) platform. The company is moving towards agentic automation, combining deterministic RPA workflows with generative AI and AI agents. UiPath has also introduced tools like Agent Builder and the UiPath Platform for Agentic Automation, which work together to orchestrate AI agents, robots, and humans within a single intelligent system.

Although UiPath (PATH) is viewed as a strong investment, some experts believe that there are other AI stocks with higher potential and lower risk. Investors interested in undervalued AI opportunities can access special reports to find the best short-term AI stocks.
