Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the men’s team for the Asia Cup 2025. Only after this, a 15 -member Indian team has been announced for the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 and Australia tour. As expected, Harmanpreet Kaur has been made the captain. Along with him, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and Head Coach Amol Mazumdar also attended the team selection meeting. The meeting was held at BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.
Shefali Verma did not get a chance
This time the biggest name that remained out of the team is opener Shefali Verma. After the England series, coach Amol Mazumdar supported him, but despite this he did not get a place in the World Cup team. Shefali recently played innings of 3, 47, 31 and 75 runs on England tour. The Women’s World Cup will start from 30 September and the final will be played on 2 November. This time the tournament matches will be played in Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Indore, Guwahati and Colombo. However, the situation is not clear about the match at M.
