In this module, the entire story of the Pahalgam terrorist attack has been told in a simple and clear manner. It is clearly written in the book that this attack took place at the behest of Pakistan's military and political leadership.

NCERT has added a new and special module in school books. The name of this module is Operation Sindoor, which has been prepared for children from class 3 to 12. Its purpose is to make children aware of Pakistan's cowardly act and not only tell them about the Pahalgam terrorist attack, but also to explain India's strong policy against terrorism and the important role of common people in it. From this module, children will learn how important the contribution of every citizen is to maintain peace and unity in the country.

Pakistan's role in the Pahalgam attack

In this module, the entire story of the Pahalgam terrorist attack has been told in a simple and clear manner. It is clearly written in the book that this attack took place at the behest of Pakistan's military and political leadership. Although Pakistan has always denied its role in this attack, evidence shows that this attack took place at its instigation. NCERT has tried to explain to the children that the neighboring country has been trying to spread unrest and instability in India for a long time. India has given a befitting reply to these attempts every time and has further strengthened its policy against terrorism.

These attacks are also mentioned in the module

Apart from the Pahalgam attack, some other major terrorist attacks are also mentioned in the module. These include the 2016 Uri attack and the 2019 Pulwama attack etc. The purpose of including these incidents is to tell the children that terrorism is not only a threat to the border, but to the peace and security of the entire society. This part will force the children to think that terrorism affects not only the soldiers or the government, but also the lives of common people.

Operation Sindoor: One name, thousands of stories

In this module named Operation Sindoor, NCERT has told that it is not just the name of a military operation, but it is a tribute to those martyrs who gave their lives to protect the country. It also shows the courage and grief of those women who lost their husbands in this attack. Its name 'Sindoor' was chosen because it is a symbol of respect for those widows and unity of the society. This name teaches children that the feelings and sacrifices of every person are involved in the protection of the country.

Courage of the people of Kashmir is also mentioned

A special part of the module is dedicated to the bravery of the local people of Kashmir. The way the people there raised their voice against terrorism after the Pahalgam attack has been praised a lot. It is written in the book that the local people openly stood against the terrorists and proved that the real identity of Kashmir is not violence, but peace and brotherhood. This part teaches children how important unity and courage are in the society. This courage of the people of Kashmir has been presented as an example in the module, which will be an inspiration for future generations.
