What is the eating amoeba?

The scientific name of the eating amoeba is Naegleria fowleri. It is a type of microscopic amoeba, which is found in warm water, ponds, lakes, and swimming pools . This amoeba enters the human body through the nose and reaches the brain directly . There it starts destroying the brain cells, putting the patient's life in danger.

  • Always ensure adequate chlorine levels in swimming pools
