Monsoon Session 2025: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday condemned the introduction of three controversial bills in the Lok Sabha. There is a provision to remove the Prime Minister, Chief Minister or Minister from the post after spending 30 days in jail for serious allegations. Rahul Gandhi said that this step is taking the country in the medieval period.

The king will remove anyone on his own free will

Union Home Minister Amit Shah introduced three bills in the Lok Sabha. To this, Rahul Gandhi said, "There is a lot of discussion about the new bill proposed by the BJP. We are going back in the medieval period. When the king could remove anyone on his own free will. There is no concept of what the elected person is. He does not like your face, so he asks the ED to file a case and then a democratically chosen person is removed within 30 days."

Explain that on Wednesday, when the government introduced the Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, Union Government (Amendment) Bill and Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization (Amendment) Bill, the opposition became attacker. MPs from opposition parties tore copies of the bill. Some MPs threw the paper at Amit Shah.

Government will be unstable in opposition -ruled states due to arbitrary arrest

Rahul Gandhi, who came to the Lok Sabha wearing a black T-shirt, said, "The war is going on between those who attack the Constitution and those who defend it." The opposition has described it as "rigid" law. It has been claimed that the government will use it to destabilize the opposition -ruled states through arbitrary arrest of ministers and chief ministers. At present there is no provision to remove a current minister if he is accused of serious crime.
