Alan Shearer in X-rated clash with Alexander Isak's agent as Newcastle dealt bad news

Alan Shearer has pulled no punches in his criticism of Alexander Isak, with the Newcastle United legend blasting the Swedish striker in an X-rated rant. Isak has been angling for a move away from St. James' Park for the majority of the summer, with Liverpool keen to add their vast array of attacking talents.

Newcastle are said to value Isak, who has three years left on his current deal, at a whopping £150million. Liverpool have already seen one bid turned down by Newcastle, who themselves have endured a difficult time sourcing a replacement for Isak.

But according to Shearer, Isak ought to be pointing the finger at his agent, with the ex-England international believing his representatives have caused most of the mess. Speaking to Betfair, Shearer said: "I mean, oh my God, what a f***ing mess his agent has made of this, honestly.

"If I was him, I'd get his agent in a room and sack him on the spot immediately, because he is meant to be giving him the advice to sign that sixyear deal and there's no getout clause. I mean, it's ridiculous. And to take anyone's word in football... it's nonsensical to say that someone said, 'Oh, I'll be able to get out at the end of the season.' Really? I mean, come on."

Isak has seen himself go from hero to zero on Tyneside. The man who scored the winning goal to secure the club's first piece of silverware in 70 years has watched his reputation plummet among the Newcastle faithful, so much so that Shearer believes the club should be looking to move him on regardless this summer.

In what would likely still be considered bad news for the Newcastle faithful, Shearer added: "My view is the same as it was three or four weeks ago. If Newcastle can get players in to replace him, and if Newcastle receive a bid they want to accept, then Isak's move to Liverpool may happen. If that doesn't happen, then he stays, and it becomes really messy.

"If Liverpool want him, then they put in an offer Newcastle will accept, and if Newcastle can get two players in, because that's what they need, one to replace Isak and one to replace Wilson, then fine. They've been trying to do that for the past four or five weeks and haven't been able to do it. Whether they can do that in the next 10 days is doubtful, but there's still time."
