On Wednesday, a tragic accident occurred in Darwha town of Yavatmal district, which shocked the entire area. Four innocent children drowned in the deep pit dug for railway flyover construction. The incident has immersed not only the family but the entire district in mourning.
After all, how did this painful accident happen?
According to police, the deceased children were between 10 and 14 years old. The incident took place near Darwha railway station, where flyover construction work was going on. The pit dug for the pillars was completely filled with rain water. The children were playing nearby and it is feared that they fell into it while playing. Two children drowned in water and two more innocent people also died in an attempt to save them.
Who was identified as the deceased children?
Innocent people who died in this accident have been identified as Rihan Aslam Khan (13), Golu Pandurang Narnavare (10), Soumya Satish Khadsan (10) and Vaibhav Ashish Bodhale (14). The four children were residents of Darwha area. After this tragedy, weeds have passed throughout the town.
Is the negligence of railway and contractor responsible?
Local people allege that this painful accident occurred due to great negligence of the railway and construction company. No arrangements were made to secure the pit, nor was any warning board installed there. The families have demanded a case against railway officials and contractor.
