As per The StarTaiwanese media reported that the couple was spotted attending a concert by Hong Kong singer-actor Nicholas Tse—a moment Jane shared on her Weibo account.

“Going on a date and meeting the person who used to live in our earphones back then,” she captioned the video.

In a livestream, Jane revealed that she first met Ma at a friend’s party.

“No one actively pursued the other. We just got together naturally,” she said, adding that she has long admired Ma’s acting career.

Despite the 26-year age gap—Ma is the same age as her father—Jane said she is unfazed by online comments.

“It’s normal. I don’t care at all,” she said, noting that her parents are supportive of the relationship. The couple is not rushing into marriage, with Jane adding they will “let nature take its course.”

Rumors of their romance first emerged in 2023 after Jane shared a photo of herself hugging Ma while holding a bouquet of roses. In the post, she also criticized Ma’s two ex-wives, actresses Tang Yun and Wu Jiani, for not appreciating him.

Ma was married to Tang from 1990 to 1993, with whom he has a daughter, and to Wu from 2007 to 2017, with whom he shares two sons.

Ma’s acting career began in 1984, with notable roles including the 1994 adaptation of “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber,” the 1999 series “Legend of the Eight Immortals,” and the 2000 version of “The Legendary Swordsman.”
