The kitchen is not just a place for cooking food, but it is the basis of the health of the entire family. If the kitchen is clean, then the health of the people in the house also remains safe. But as soon as fried items are cooked there, grease and stains start accumulating near the gas stove, on the walls and tiles. This not only looks bad, but over time, it can give rise to dirt and bacteria. In such a situation, there is a need for such easy solutions, which can make the kitchen shine again without much effort and expense.

With the help of some home tips, not only can stubborn stains be removed from walls and tiles, but the entire kitchen can be kept healthy and hygienic.

1. Dishwashing liquid and warm water

Mix 2 teaspoons of dishwashing liquid in a bucket of warm water. Gently wipe off stains on walls, tiles, and slabs with a microfibre cloth.

2. Baking Soda Power Paste

Make a paste by mixing 3 teaspoons of baking soda with water. Apply it on the stains for 10–15 minutes and scrub with a scrubber. Best for old sticky parts.

3. Vinegar Natural Cleaner

Put ½ cup white vinegar and ½ cup water in a spray bottle. Spray on the stain, wipe after 10 minutes. It also kills bacteria.

4. Quick Cleaning with Cornstarch

Sprinkle cornstarch or baby powder on freshly spilled oil. It will absorb the oil. Later wipe it off with a cloth.

5. Super Paste of Lemon and Salt

Make a paste of lemon juice and salt and apply it on the sticky surface and scrub. This is most effective for walls with a lot of grease accumulation.

Extra Tips

Test any solution on a small area first.

Use an exhaust fan/chimney to prevent oil from accumulating.

Clean regularly every 7–10 days to prevent stubborn stains from forming.
