Mikel Arteta's Arsenalsquad could yet change a lot before the end of the summer transfer window. He is still waiting for a group of players to leave whilst attention also turns to new arrivals in attack.

Kai Havertz's injury has sprung things into life again after Eberechi Eze's progressing move to Tottenham appeared to signal the end of most meaningful incoming activity. That is now set to change with forwards being eyed.

Depending on the severity of Havertz's injury, Arsenal will remain flexible in the market as the final 10 days approach. The Gunners had been looking for a new left-sided winger to push Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

The news of Trossard's imminent new contract changes matters after he had been regularly linked with a move away.Trossard was one of those who faced an increased battle for minutes with the arrival of Noni Madueke.

He may well now have to cover for Havertz up front alongside Mikel Merinoand Ethan Nwaneri. Trossard's deal will still expire in 2027, which will not quieten talk over his future for long.

It does at least offer some certainty for the remainder of the transfer window. Trossard was unused on the bench away at Old Trafford on Sunday with Madueke and Havertz both preferred.

Eyes will be on those not present at all, though.Reiss Nelson played a surprisingly big role in pre-season for someone the club is keen to sell on a permanent basis.

He was not included as a substitute against Manchester United with Ethan Nwaneri, Trossard, Madueke, and Havertz all down as attacking options. Nelson is exploring his opportunities elsewhere and looks to have played his last game for the club.

Meanwhile,Oleksandr ZinchenkoandJakub Kiwior also found themselves out. Jurrien Timber came on forBen Whiteand Myles Lewis-Skellyat left-back for Riccardo Calafioriduring the game.

Cristhian Mosquera, who signed earlier in the window, was named but not needed by Arteta. This leaves Zinchenko and Kiwior without an obvious role in the squad anymore.

Arsenal have been open to offers for both after once more strengthening the backline and further relegating them. After being bit-part last season, the writing has very much been on the wall.

Meanwhile, the wait goes on to reach an agreement for Fabio Vieira's exit. Arsenal would like to get as much of a return on their £40million outlay as possible but that has stalled ongoing talks.

Vieira would like to end his association with the club in a bid to settle down elsewhere and try to kickstart his career again. There is pressure to move him on but a disparity in valuation.

The same is true for Kiwior. Arsenal would ideally keep him on board as extra cover but the Polish international is after game time and is so far being priced out of a transfer away.

Albert Sambi Lokonga is less likely to bring in a big fee despite his loan at Sevilla last season. The 25-year-old midfielder struggled with injuries and only managed 23 appearances in total. He is an outcast in the squad and awaiting news of an exit too. His deal runs out in less than 12 months.

For now, he has no place in the matchday squad under Arteta and seems to be the fifth member of the group to have played for the last time. With less than two weeks until deadline day to go, the transfer window might disagree.
