Agni-5 Testing: India has successfully tested its first Inter Continental Ballistic missile Agni-5. It was tested on Wednesday at the Integrated Test range in Chandipur, Odisha. It is equipped with multiple independent targetable re-entry vehicles (MIRV) technology. That is, it can be launched at several targets simultaneously. Its first test was done in April 2012. This specialty means that many targets present hundreds of kilometers away from each other can be destroyed through the same missile. Preparation to convert Agni-5 into bunker buster

DRDO has started preparing to create a new non-nuclear version of Agni-5 missile. This missile is being specially made for Airforce. It will have a heavy warhead of about 8 tons. It can be used in two ways. First- Airburst will explode in a large area and destroy the runway, airbase and radar system.

Second- Bunker Buster Warhead, which will explode from 80 to 100 meters inside the ground and destroy the enemy command center or nuclear weapon. The range of this missile is 2500 km.
