Emphasis on establishing direct communication with people at the ground level

Advocates to become a conductor of new thinking and innovative ideas for the good of common people

Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today appealed to Senior Punjab Good Governance Fellows to work as a bridge to reach the benefits of various major schemes and programs of the state government to the general public. Addressing the consultation session with Fellows here today, the Chief Minister said that they have been appointed to serve in various departments. He informed that he will be entrusted with the responsibility of major schemes like Punjab Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme, Mukhyamantri Swasthya Yojana, anti -drug campaign, Aam Aadmi Clinic, School of Eminence etc.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that these fellow will improve administrative results by working with dedicated spirit and new approach and will directly connect with the public to ensure effective implementation of schemes. He called them to know the ground reality and to establish direct communication with the people, so that the plans could be applied smoothly and fairly.

The Chief Minister assured that he will get full support from the state government. He said that Fellows would have complete freedom to establish direct communication with the public. He said that all these fellows are educated from prestigious institutions like IITs, IIMs and have necessary knowledge and expertise for effective implementation of public welfare schemes. Chief Minister Mann said that the present time is the era of new ideas and thinking. He said that many billions of dollars of industries in the world have been established by valuable views of only one or two persons.

The Chief Minister inspired Felose to become a strong bridge of dialogue between the state government and the public and emphasized the development of administrative decisions to the public to develop strong and practical feedback system. He said that positive thinking and conduct are the key to success. Giving an example, the Chief Minister said that he or his ministers never claimed that the government treasury is empty, but now every money of the state is being used in a judicious manner for development and well being of the public. He regretted that a statement like “Khazana empty” of former finance ministers obstructed the development work of the state.

The Chief Minister said that the previous governments never tried to create a positive atmosphere and destroyed the administrative structure, due to which the youth were forced to go abroad. He clarified that he has always encouraged new ideas and different thinking. They believe that the time is required to enable the common man. He said that the state government welcomes new ideas and innovative initiatives to encourage industrial development in Punjab. He said that every possible effort is being made to give wings to the views of the youth. Earlier, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora welcomed all the dignitaries.
