Akshay Kumar Advocates for Healthy Eating Habits
Mumbai: Renowned actor Akshay Kumar emphasized the significance of finishing dinner by 6:30 PM during a recent book launch, where he also discussed his practice of fasting on Mondays.
Kumar explained, "Why is it crucial to eat by 6:30 in the evening? It greatly benefits your body. When we sleep, our eyes, legs, and hands are at rest, but our stomach is not, especially if we eat late."
He elaborated, "By the time we wake up, our stomach is still working hard. I’m simplifying this, but we all know that many health issues stem from our stomachs."
The actor stressed the importance of caring for one's stomach, stating, "If you take care of it, diseases will stay away. Eating at 6:30 allows your body ample time to digest before bedtime, ensuring your stomach is ready to rest by 9 or 10 PM."
Additionally, he shared his fasting routine, saying, "I fast on Mondays, starting after my last meal on Sunday until Tuesday morning."
Kumar is set to appear in the upcoming film Welcome To The Jungle, directed by Ahmed Khan. The movie features a star-studded cast, including Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon, among others.
Produced by Firoz A Nadiadwallah and presented by Base Industries Group, Welcome to the Jungle is slated for a theatrical release during the Christmas week on December 20.
