New Delhi. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made a big announcement today, saying that now the engines of fifth generation fighter aircraft will soon be built in India. He said that we have taken further steps towards making VTH generation fighter craft. We have also moved towards making the aircraft engine in India. The engine making work of aircraft is going to start in India with the French company Safaran. The Defense Minister said that our Tejas aircraft is a great example of India’s indigenous defense ability. It is not that we are not facing problems in this work, but we have decided that we will find a solution to every problem and show full potential to make fighter aircraft in India.
Rajnath said, the progress of any country is directly to its safety. Our country should progress, for this it is necessary that we feel safe from all sides. But if our security ourselves are in the hands of others, we are dependent on imported defense equipment from outside, then such safety gets a question mark somewhere. Therefore, it has been necessary for us that we come forward for our safety and invest and invest defense manufacturing capabilities in the country.
He told that just a few days ago we have given a new order to HAL to create 97 Tejas fighter plans at a cost of about Rs 66,000 crore. Earlier, HAL was given an order to build 83 aircraft at a cost of Rs 48,000 crore. The Defense Minister further said, we are providing private a suitable environment of development. According to this, we have opened up major construction opportunities including fighter aircraft, helicopters, tanks and submarines through strategic partnership models. This will help our private companies to create a strong identity globally in the coming years.
