R Ashwin, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma had to retire from Test cricket. Rohit and Virat’s retirement came for a long time, but Ashwin had shocked everyone by announcing his retirement on the beach tour. Now finally Ashwin has broken the silence on his retirement and has given the real reason behind the sudden retirement to the fans. Ashwin said that he was tired of sitting on the bench on a foreign tour, due to which he retired.

Ashwin first jokingly said to Rahul Dravid on his YouTube channel, “I think it was just a matter of time, and where I was standing in my life, isn’t it? I think I was very old, I have to agree.”
He then spoke on the real reasons.
This experienced player revealed that the disappointment of sitting on the bench on the tour of the tour continuously and on foreign tour gradually exhausted him. Ashwin said, “But going to the tour and sitting out for a long time, finally dominated me.”
He said that the decisive factor was the family.
He further said, “I don’t mean that I do not want to contribute to the team, but you are wondering if I would like to stay at home and spend time with children. They are also growing up, and what am I doing really?”
Ashwin also disclosed that he had long line for his international career. He said, “It was always in my mind that I will retire at the age of 34-35 years.” He further stated that although his international career is over, he is ready to play for flexibility and balance in domestic cricket.
