Cloudburst Hits Chamoli: A cloudburst occurred in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district on Friday night, causing massive destruction in many areas. Many people are feared missing after this incident. The debris flow has caused heavy damage to local markets, roads, and residential areas. Debris has entered Tharali Bazaar and Kotdeep area of the tehsil, destroying many houses and crushing vehicles. A girl is reported to be trapped under the debris of a collapsed building in Sagwad village. Apart from this, shops in Chepdon Bazaar have also suffered a lot of damage due to the debris flow.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami alerted the officials
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said in a post on social media platform 'X' on Saturday that he is in constant touch with the local administration. He wrote, 'Sad news of a cloudburst was received in the Tharali area of Chamoli district late last night. The district administration, SDRF, and police have reached the spot and are engaged in relief and rescue operations. He further said that he is personally monitoring the situation and praying for the safety of everyone.
