Over the past few weeks, Coronation Street's Abi Webster (played by Sally Carman) and her brother in law Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) have been sneaking around behind her husband Kevin's (Michael Le Vell) back. It was only a matter of time before they got caught out and sure enough, Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) rumbled the pair as they got hot and heavy during the latest episode of the ITV soap (Friday August 22).
After spending the night with Abi, Carl was stunned when Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) let herself in to do some cleaning. But when she collapsed, Carl rushed downstairs to help her as Abi returned. However viewers spotted a key problem with the scenes as Tracy spotted the pair kissing passionately through the glass on the back door of number 13. Abi called an ambulance as Carl went upstairs to hide when Ronnie turned up. Recognising it was a close call, the pair agreed that they needed to be more careful.
But a hug soon turned into a passionate kiss, with both unaware that Tracy could see them through the frosted glass door.
Racing to discuss the scene on social media, one outraged fan penned on X: "So, how does that work? Tracy can see through the frosted glass on the back door of Kevs house, yet neither she nor Debbie can see through the frosted glass on the front door... How do these writers get away with such utter c***?"
A second wrote on Facebook: "So she just happened to be standing and staring and saw them kissing? Ridiculous."
A third joked: "The glass on the front door wasn't frosted enough."
Another was delighted the cat was out of the bag. "I'm glad Tracy found out about Abi and Carl, I hope Tracy gives them hell," they penned as another agreed: "Finally this affair story is about to get interesting. What is Tracy gonna to do with this juicy info? I hope she makes them suffer & sweat."

Tracy became suspicious when Carl rejected her advances and was determined to catch them out. Having had her suspicions confirmed, she told the pair in no uncertain terms she expects them to pay for her silence.
Claiming her divorce from Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) was proving costly, she demanded money from them both. Neither of them has enough money to pay her off with Carl already in debt and, unbeknownst to Abi, stealing cars to pay it off.
With Tracy putting the pressure on and Kevin due back from holidays in a matter of days, they look certain to be found out by the entire street.
