
Isro gaganyaan mission 2025: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully completed the first integrated air drop test (IADT-01) of the Deception System associated with the Gaganyaan Mission. This test was done to ensure that when the astronauts return to Earth at the end of the mission, they could be safe landing.
Contribution of major agencies of the country in testing
Let me tell you that ISRO did not conduct this test alone. In this, the Indian Air Force, DRDO (Defense Research and Development Organization), Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard also played an active participation. ISRO shared on ‘X’ that this test has been completed with success with the cooperation of all these agencies.
First unchanged Gaganyaan Mission in December, G1
ISRO President V. Narayanan has informed that the first test flight of the Gaganyaan Mission, which will be unmanned, will be done in December 2025. In this flight, the semi-human robot ‘Vyommitra’ will be sent space, so that the preparation of the future human missions can be done.
More than 80% testing completed so far
ISRO chief said that about 7,700 tests have been completed for the Gaganyaan Mission so far, which is 80% of the total tests. The remaining 2,300 tests are expected to be completed by March 2026. This mission is proceeding with caution and technical accuracy at every step.
Orbital module ready for Gaganyaan
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said in the Lok Sabha that the manufacture and testing of the human rated launch vehicle (HLVM-3) required for Gaganyaan has been successfully done. Also, systems of orbital modules, which include crew modules and service modules, have been developed and tested.
Other technical preparations and infrastructure
Five motors of the crew escape system (CES) were successfully tested. The work of infrastructure such as Gaganyaan Control Center, Crew Training Facility, Reconstruction of Launch Pad has also been completed. The resources required for the recovery process have also been finalized.
Future plans, from human mission to lunar campaign
After the Gaganyaan-1 mission, India is eyeing the first manned mission in 2027. In addition, Chandrayaan-4 mission in 2028. Venus planet mission. A target has also been set to send Indian space stations by 2035 and Indian astronauts on the moon by 2040.
