Priyanka Gandhi's Participation in Voter Rights Journey

On the tenth day of the voter rights campaign in Bihar, Priyanka Gandhi joined the initiative. The journey commenced in Supaul and progressed along NH-27, crossing the Kosi Mahasetu bridge before reaching Madhubani. Gandhi, along with Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, and other representatives from the India Block, was seen waving to enthusiastic crowds from the roof of an SUV as it moved slowly through the area. After a brief pause, the journey resumed on Tuesday.

In a social media post, Priyanka Gandhi criticized the BJP, claiming that the party has lost public trust and is conspiring to steal votes nationwide. She pointed out that the BJP-JD(U) government in Bihar has failed on multiple fronts, including inflation, unemployment, and economic crises, yet seeks to maintain power by stealing votes. She emphasized that millions of poor and marginalized citizens are being deprived of their voting rights, which the Constitution guarantees to every Indian. No force can take away this right, and they will not allow any votes from the poor to be stolen.

During a press conference in Araria on Sunday, Rahul Gandhi stressed that all components of the India Block are working together for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, promising positive outcomes. He announced that the India Block will soon release a joint manifesto for the Bihar assembly elections. Gandhi noted that the opposition alliance is united in ideology and politics, respecting one another, and he referred to it as a strong partnership among all members of the India Block.

Rahul Gandhi initiated the 'Voter Rights Journey' in opposition to the Election Commission's special intensive review of voter lists, supported by all components of the Indian Block. This 16-day journey began on August 17 in Sasaram and will conclude with a rally in Patna on September 1, covering over 1,300 kilometers across the state, where assembly elections are scheduled for later this year.
