Bihar's New Industrial Investment Incentive Package Announced by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar

Bihar's Industrial Revolution Initiative

In the lead-up to the Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is making significant decisions. A major announcement has been made regarding the industrial revolution in Bihar. Kumar shared on social media that the government has introduced the Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025 (BIPPP-2025) to encourage industries in the state, following the Biada Amnesty Policy. This new initiative will provide interest subsidies of up to ₹40 crores. Additionally, new units will receive a reimbursement of up to 300% of the net SGST on the approved project cost for a period of 14 years, along with capital subsidies of up to 30%.

The Chief Minister further elaborated that the export incentive will be capped at ₹40 lakhs annually for a duration of 14 years. Moreover, support will be provided for skill development, environmental protection, renewable energy usage, reimbursement of stamp duty and land conversion fees, assistance for private industrial parks, patent registration, and quality certification. He stated that to promote investment under this new industrial package, free land will be allocated. Industrial units investing over ₹100 crores and creating more than 1,000 direct jobs will receive up to 10 acres of land at no cost.

Kumar also mentioned that industrial units investing over ₹1,000 crores will be allocated up to 25 acres of land for free. Fortune 500 companies will receive up to 10 acres of land at no cost. To benefit from this industrial package, investors must apply before March 31, 2026. This initiative aims to create job opportunities for 1 crore youths over the next five years, fostering industrial growth in Bihar, enhancing the skills and self-reliance of the youth, and ensuring they have ample employment opportunities within the state for a secure future.
