After a short break Team India will be back in action in early September with the Asia Cup 2025. According to a report from RevSportz ODI captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul are scheduled to undergo the Yo-Yo test on August 30-31. On the other hand Rohit Sharma who last played International cricket during the Champions Trophy could take part in the IND A vs AUS A series which is scheduled from September 30 to October 5. Following that the India vs Australia ODI series will begin on October 19. The Yo-Yo Test is a fitness assessment which is designed to check a player’s stamina recovery ability and endurance. It involves a lot of running between two cones placed 20 meters apart with the speed increasing progressively and short recovery intervals in between. There has been a lot of speculation surrounding the ODI future of Rohit and Virat but that might get cleared soon. Their inclusion in the upcoming series could indicate that they are eyeing the 2027 World Cup. For now however Team India’s immediate focus will be on the Asia Cup 2025.
