Jamia New Course: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has started three new courses. If you are thinking of making a career in a foreign language, then this is good news for you. Out of these, two undergraduate (UG) courses are based on a foreign language. For example, now BA can also be done in German and Japanese Studies from Jamia. Apart from this, an advanced diploma course has also been started, which will prove to be very beneficial for those making a career in the field of child guidance and counseling.
Let us know what is special in these three new courses? Why have they been started? What is the purpose of Jamia in starting these courses?
Courses are based on the new education policy.
These three courses have been started under NEP 2025, i.e., National Education Policy, and are part of the Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUUP). The aim of Jamia is not only to teach the language to the students through these courses, but also to give them deep knowledge about the culture, translation, and interpretation of that country. These courses are designed in such a way that students can be prepared to work in the industry.
You can also do a diploma in child counseling.
Jamia has also started an advanced diploma course in child guidance and counseling. This course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). After doing this course, students can become an RCI-approved counselor. After this diploma, you can work as a counselor in schools, colleges, hospitals, clinics, government, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Why are these new courses special?
In today's time, the importance of foreign languages has increased a lot. Both Germany and Japan are major economic powers in the world. India's relations with these countries are constantly getting stronger. In such a situation, there will be many job opportunities available for students proficient in these languages. These courses will help in further strengthening the cultural and professional relations between India and these countries.
