A new mass entertainer is on the horizon for Malayalam cinema as acclaimed director Shaji Kailas and National Award-winning actor Joju George team up for the very first time. Their upcoming film, titled ' Varav ', has been officially announced with a powerful title poster.
Joju and Shaji Kailas' first collaboration sparks huge excitement
The collaboration between Shaji Kailas, celebrated for his larger-than-life action films, and Joju George, has sparked sky-high expectations. The title poster of 'Varav' has the title font written in red, symbolizing aggression and violence. The title also has a decorative blade-like weapon, promising that 'Varav' will surely be a blood shed. The poster has the tagline 'Revenge is not a dirty business', which is a creative twist to Mohanlal's iconic dialogue 'Narcotics is a dirty business', which is indeed lifted from the classic 'Godfather' Hollywood flick. Overall the poster promises a violent action flick.
Big-budget action spectacle
Planned as a full-scale action entertainer, 'Varav' will go on floors on September 6 with shooting scheduled across Munnar, Marayoor, Kanthalloor, and Theni.
Alongside Joju, a massive star cast is expected, though details remain under wraps. With celebrated writer A. K. Sajan handling the story and screenplay, the expectations are quite high for the film.
Top technicians onboard for 'Varav'
Varav also boasts a stunning technical crew. Sujith Vasudev will handle the cinematography. Shameer Muhammed will take care of editing. The music will be composed by Sam C. S and Phoenix Prabhu and Kalai Kingson are part of the action team.
On the other hand, Shaji Kailas' previous outing was the Bhavana starrer 'Hunt' which received mixed reviews. Joju George was recently seen in 'Thug Life' which was directed by Mani Ratnam and had Kamal Haasan in the lead.
