
Billionaire industrialist Gautam Adani has added a luxurious Boeing 737-Max 8 BBJ business jet worth about Rs. 1000 crore to his fleet. The jet can fly non-stop to London and reach the US or Canada with just one refueling stop. The aircraft made its first long trip recently flying 6300 km from Basel Switzerland and landing at Ahmedabad airport at 10 am on Wednesday coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi. It was welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute. Interestingly Reliance Group Chairman Mukesh Ambani had also purchased a plane from the same Boeing 737-Max series in August 2024. While the 737-Max is commonly used by airlines such as Akasa Air India Express and SpiceJet for commercial flights it is now becoming a popular choice among industrialists for personal and business travel. At the same time Adani has sold three older jets from the B-200 Hawker and Challenger series to upgrade his lineup.
