According to WABetaInfo, this new feature is currently seen in WhatsApp Beta for iOS 25.22.83 version available on the App Store. According to the screenshot, now whenever a user shares a photo or video, the option of My Status will be shown in the iOS share sheet.

Earlier, to put a photo-video on status from any other app, you had to make WhatsApp the target app. Now with the latest update, you will get the option to add media to the status by clicking on My Status directly from the iOS share sheet. The advantage of this will be that the user will not need to open WhatsApp again and again.
