Who is the ISRO Scientist Who Failed to Answer the Rs 25 Lakh Question? ISRO scientist Haripriya Saketpuram from Hyderabad when she appeared on the show talked about her journey with Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan while balancing a demanding career and family life. With her vast knowledge across subjects Saketpuram advanced to the Rs 25 lakh question but decided to quit walking away with Rs 12.5 lakh. She received a warm welcome from Amitabh who said “We are fortunate to have a female scientist from ISRO for the first time.” As she started to play she kept it low-key. She crossed milestones and reached the Rs 25 lakh question. Left with no lifelines she encountered a tough question: “According to the autobiography of Paramahansa Yogananda which fruit did he suggest to Mahatma Gandhi and sent some plants from California to Wardha?” The options were: A. Cantaloupe B. Huckleberry C. Avocado D. Peach. Although Haripriya leaned towards option C Avocado her uncertainty led her to quit the game taking home Rs 12.5 lakh. Interestingly her guess turned out to be correct as the answer was indeed Avocado. Though Haripriya missed the opportunity to win Rs 25 lakh her journey inspired many others.
