ICC and Google Historical Partnership to change the future of women’s cricket

In this series, on 29 August 2025, ICC announced a historic partnership with Google, the world’s largest search engine. The purpose of this partnership is to make women cricket more exciting and fan-friendly through technology.

ICC joined hands with Google

Now Google will work to connect fans with women cricket through many of its platforms, such as Android, Google Gemini, Google Pay and Pixel. Under this, the match highlights, players’ stories and access to special moments will be easier than before.

Confirming this, ICC chairman Jai Shah said, “This partnership with Google is a milestone for women’s cricket. With Google’s technology, fans will be able to connect fans and deeply. Women’s cricket is moving fast and this partnership will also inspire the coming generations.”

Google India’s Vice President (Marketing) said, “Cricket has always been playing passion and community. With this partnership we will be able to bring fans closer to women’s cricket. Our aim is not only limited to the tournament, but to make the game easier and exciting.”

The timing of this partnership is also special because in the next 10 months, there are two big tournaments of women cricket. The first is the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, which will be in India and Sri Lanka. The second is the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England. ICC and Google will work together to make both these tournaments successful and memorable.
