From August 31 to September 1, 2025, Modi participated in the 25th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) heads of state held in Tianjin, China. The summit focused on discussions regarding the SCO development strategy, reforms in global governance, counter-terrorism, peace and security, economic and financial cooperation, as well as sustainable development.
