Seeing his ability his friends often used to say that he had a passion for moving forward in life. On hearing about Shah Rukh Khan’s ability his mother Lateef Fatima Khan asked him to appear for one of the toughest tests — the IIT entrance test. Shah Rukh Khan studied Economics at Delhi University (DU) and later pursued a degree in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia. At the same time very few people know that before taking admission to Delhi University he had given the IIT entrance exam and also cleared it. Shah Rukh Khan Cleared the IIT Entrance Test During an interview in 2000 SRK revealed he had studied science in school but wanted to study a different subject in college. The actor then said that he spoke to his mother about this and she wanted him to pursue Science. Hence he appeared for the IIT entrance exam. The actor said “When I was choosing my career my mother said ‘I would like you to go into science.’ After this I told my mother that I want to study economics because I have completed science studies in school. After listening to me she said ‘Oh you want to go into economics but can you give the entrance exam of IIT?’ When my mother asked I said I can give it. She then said ‘Okay just show me whether you can give the entrance exam of IIT or not.’ So I gave the exam and passed.” Story Highlights Shah Rukh Khan gave the IIT entrance exam upon his mother’s advice.
