Introduction to ownership scheme
The Government of India has launched many beneficial schemes for its citizens, which are taking advantage of millions of people. Most of these schemes are made keeping in mind the needs of the public. In 2020, the government launched the ownership scheme, which aims to provide assistance to the people living in rural areas.
Benefits of ownership scheme for villagers
Even today a large number of people in India live in rural areas. Through the ownership scheme, the government gives those people the right to their land. Let us know what are the benefits of this scheme and what are its rules.
A large part of rural India is still without legal documents. Many people have been claiming authority over their land for generations, due to which land disputes are common in villages. Many times these disputes reach the police station.
Implementation of ownership scheme
Now, the Government of India has started a survey process to give ownership to homes in rural areas under the Owner Scheme. Under this scheme, the owner of the house will be provided a property card, giving them a valid documents of their home.
This scheme will benefit those villagers who have built a house on their land but they have no evidence of its ownership. After the survey conducted by the government, they will be given a property card, allowing them to prove that this property is their. However, the official data of how many people will benefit from this scheme has not been released yet. Note that only rural assets will be surveyed under this scheme.
