Applications for the post of Assistant Professor have started from the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). Candidates who want to apply for the post of Assistant Professor can apply online by visiting the official website. Under the official notification of UPPSC, a total of 1253 posts of Assistant Professor will be recruited. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website. The last date to apply has been fixed as October 06, 2025. Apart from this, the last date to make corrections in the application form has been fixed as October 13, 2025.

Application fee
General and OBC candidates will have to deposit Rs 100 as an application fee and Rs 25 as a processing fee. Apart from this, SC and ST candidates will have to deposit Rs 40 as an examination fee and Rs 25 for a processing fee. Also, Divyang candidates will not have to pay the examination fee. However, Divyang candidates will have to deposit Rs 25 as a processing fee.

Educational Qualification

To apply for the post of Assistant Professor, candidates should have a postgraduate degree with 55 percent marks from a recognized institute in India and other prescribed eligibility criteria. Apart from this, candidates should have passed the National Eligibility Test.

Age Limit

To apply for these posts, the minimum age of the candidates should not be more than 21 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 40 years. Apart from this, age relaxation will also be provided to the candidates of the special category. SC and ST candidates will be given 5 5-year relaxation in the age limit, and OBC candidates will be given 3 3-year relaxation in the age limit.

How will the selection be done?

Candidates will be selected on the basis of preliminary examination and main examination. In the preliminary examination, candidates will be asked 120 multiple choice type questions of 150 marks. The duration of the examination has been fixed at two hours. Candidates who are successful in this examination will be invited for the main examination.
