The former Indian captain MS Dhoni appeared in his cool avatar in a teaser along with Bollywood actor R. Madhavan. Dhoni, who is currently linked with the IPL team Chennai Super Kings, was seen in the action-packed teaser for "The Chase."

On September 7, Madhavan released a teaser featuring MS where both were seen in mission attire. While Madhavan has been portrayed as a romantic protagonist, MS appeared as a cool-headed one wearing stunning sunglasses. Both were having high-adrenaline missions, had guns, and were rolling from one spot to the other while firing. Madhavan heard the clip and wrote,

"One mission. Two fighters. Buckle up - a wild, explosive chase begins. The Chase - teaser out now.Directed by Vasan Bala. Coming soon. @mahi7781 @vasanbala - @viraj_ghelani@lucifercircus production."

Is MS Dhoni debuting in Bollywood?

MS Dhoni already has his production house, Dhoni Entertainment, owned and managed by his whife Sakshi Singh and her mother, Sheila Singh. The production house has produced several documentaries and in the recent days, it has produced a Tollywood film named Let’s Get Married.

However, he hasn't acted in any. Even though he is a famous face for the advertisements, this high-rush teaser ignited a rumor: is he debuting? A report from Matrabhoomi suggested that the makers of "The Chase" are in no mood to reveal anything about it. However, some sources revealed that, the teaser is about a high-profile advertisement and not a film.

What is MS Dhoni doing now?

MS Dhoni is currently away from active cricket. His last appearance came in May 2025 when he turned out for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in an IPL clash against Gujarat Titans. Though he stepped away from international cricket back in August 2020, the legendary wicketkeeper-batter has continued to feature in the IPL. In the previous season, CSK retained him for ₹4 crore as an uncapped player.

Fondly known as Captain Cool, Dhoni remains the only Indian skipper to have lifted all three ICC white-ball trophies. His captaincy tenure saw India clinch the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup, and the 2013 Champions Trophy, alongside guiding CSK to a joint-record five IPL championships.
