Jerry Lawler's Health Update

Jerry "The King" Lawler, a legendary name in professional wrestling and a long-time commentator for WWE, has reportedly experienced a stroke. The 75-year-old Hall of Famer was admitted to a hospital in Florida last week, as confirmed by his daughter through a media outlet. His recent cancellation of multiple scheduled events raised alarms among fans and fellow wrestlers.

Currently, Lawler is receiving medical attention and is expected to return to Memphis, Tennessee, once he is discharged. His health issue has sparked an outpouring of support from the wrestling community, with many fans and colleagues sending their prayers and well-wishes for his recovery.

A significant figure both in the ring and as a commentator, Lawler's career has spanned several decades. He joined the then-WWF in 1992 after a successful run in various promotions, where he became a 28-time USWA Unified World Heavyweight Champion, a title that resulted from the merging of the AWA and WCWA World Heavyweight Championships. His remarkable contributions to the sport earned him induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.

Previous Health Challenges

In February 2023, Lawler shared insights into his health journey after suffering a stroke. He expressed that he felt generally well, although he was experiencing issues with his knees. "I feel good except my knees are a little bit under the weather," he remarked. He had undergone a knee replacement surgery about six or seven months prior and noted that recovery typically takes around a year. He also mentioned that his left knee requires replacement, but he plans to postpone that procedure for now.
