Models made after 1 April 2025 are specially calibrated for E20. Whereas there is no effect on safety in old vehicles. Just acceleration or mileage may be slightly less. Despite this, all warranties and claims will remain fully valid. That is, if the engine is damaged by E20 petrol, then you will get a claim.

What is E20 petrol?

Many people just fill petrol in their vehicles. They do not know much about petrol. Now when the name of E20 petrol is in so much discussion. So let us tell you that it is actually a mixture of petrol and ethanol. It contains 80% petrol and 20% ethanol. Ethanol is a bio-fuel which is prepared from crops like sugarcane, maize or rice.

The Indian government started mixing it in petrol so that dependence on imported crude oil can be reduced, pollution can be reduced and farmers can benefit. Compared to normal petrol, the mileage of vehicles may be slightly reduced with E20. But it is considered better for the environment.
